MAPSYCOY Hangul-to-Latin fast SVG animation with auto-interpolated O Transparent-background vector animation: stylized Hangul strokes separate, reassemble as MAPSYC Y, the same circular dot travels smoothly into the O position, with a rounded-gap-filled Hangul start. A fast SVG animation. The dot separates in sync with the line strokes and its O movement is calculated by browser interpolation from only the first and final position values, preventing stepped in-between keyframe motion.

At first, this project started from a place of skepticism about South Korea's policies on young art prodigies and the Seoul Arts Center’s gifted art academy, which disappeared without a trace back in 2021. But as we made the film, it naturally turned into a story exploring what the children of that place—myself included—look like now as we’ve grown into adulthood.
